It was Home and Away that first brought her to the attention of European audiences and won her awards as Best Female Personality on Australian TV Best New Star of 1989.

Late 2001 saw the comeback of Dannii, who released a collaboration single with dance artists Riva, which got to number 3 in the UK charts. Then in 2002, after more months locked in the studio writing her fourth album, Dannii released her single ‘Put The Needle On It’, which was a UK top 10 hit. She followed this up by the second single from the new album, titled ‘Neon Nights’. ‘I Begin To Wonder’ gave Dannii her highest chart position at number 2. Her album went straight in at number eight in the UK charts just weeks later.
